Barefooters that in previous years purchased a USAWS (USA Water Ski) Guest Membership to participate in a tournament will no longer have that option. USAWS has eliminated the Guest membership for tournament participation. USAWS has developed a Grassroots program that they feel will increase membership and interest in water sports. Click here for a description of the Grassroots program. The MBA has decided to not participate in the grassroots program at this time. To participate in a MBA sponsored tournament and have your scores recorded in the tournament register you will need a USAWS Active membership. Click here for details Shakopee Open and MN State footers will have the option to ski the tournaments as a basic skills participant. You will need to purchase a Basic Skills Temporary Membership, which is on the 2009 Event Membership Application, at the Tournament. Your scores will not be posted to ABC or the WBC for Standings List but will count toward Medal placement in the Tournament. |
